Evolver is an open-source performance platform, researching awareness of the self through conscious movement of the body. In the work the audience member is invited to participate actively, executing actions written on provided instruction cards.

Through repetition of movements and an emphasis on concentration, focus, determination, strength and mindfulness, the actions motivate the participant to find a center within. The scores for the operations a come are made during long hikes in various landscapes across the world. I ground myself by executing mindful movements on the spot. Most of the time this involves finding spontaneous forms in which I find peace by a repetition of movement which I translate into executable actions for other performers and the audience.

Host Evolver yourself

Operating as an open source platform, the performance can be performed or organised by anyone.

Choose a set of instructions from this website or mix various sets together. Find a space that is large enough to fit at least 5 people. Create a large rectangular shape on the floor with white tape - this will be the energy field. Invite your participants to visit this website; link them to a particular instruction set or make use of the menu below.

Secure at least forty-five minutes of performance time - this is needed to reach the full potential of the actions. If you want to go on longer - please do. Everything can happen. The space is a silent area during the performance.

Document your performance via livestream, video or photo to connect your version of Evolver towards the platform. For questions please send email.
